President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia recently took part in the Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW 1447 H celebration at Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta. Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, the event’s theme was “The 2025 State-Level Commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday: Ecotheology – The Example of Prophet Muhammad SAW for the Sustainability of the Earth and the Nation.” During the commemoration, Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar delivered a sermon highlighting the significance of love, compassion, and happiness. Imam Husni Ismail led a prayer urging worshippers to protect nature and promote peace, in line with Prophet Muhammad SAW’s teachings. The event sought to pay homage to Prophet Muhammad SAW and encourage his followers to maintain and respect the environment.
