Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo recently visited SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta in Rawamangun to oversee the implementation of the Free Health Check in Schools (CKG Sekolah) program. This initiative, launched in 12 schools, madrasahs, and pesantrens nationwide, reflects President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to the health of young Indonesians. The program aligns with the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ goal to enhance the physical fitness of the Indonesian population under the Asta Cita development framework.

During his visit, Minister Dito highlighted the importance of early detection of health issues to promote healthy lifestyles among students. The CKG program includes health screenings for various aspects such as height, weight, nutritional status, blood pressure, physical fitness, dental and eye health, tuberculosis, and mental well-being. The data collected will inform policies to support students’ overall well-being.

Accompanying Minister Dito were officials from the Ministry of Health and the Presidential Communication Office, as well as prominent athletes. The program kicked off with health screenings for 131 tenth-grade students, with plans to examine 1,600 students over the next few days. Educational sessions on healthy living habits were also conducted for participating students.

The national launch of CKG Sekolah took place simultaneously in 12 educational institutions across Indonesia. This initiative, part of President Prabowo’s vision for a reformed healthcare system, aims to provide promotive and preventive care to the entire Indonesian population, focusing on 53.8 million students. Since its phased rollout in February 2025, over 16 million people have benefited from the program, with continued expansion to ensure equal access to healthcare services.

With the CKG initiative, the government is optimistic about accelerating access to healthcare services and paving the way for Golden Indonesia 2045. This program underscores the commitment to the next generation’s health and well-being, in line with the government’s vision for a healthier and stronger Indonesia.
